Biserica CANAAN Halchiu/ CANAAN Church of Halchiu

Scurt istoric al Bisericii Canaan:
Biserica Canaan Halchiu a fost inceputa in anul 1999 de catre Nick Martonosi, un misionar american si de catre Ovidiu si Carmen Starlici un cuplu tanar de romani.
Din anul 2000 biserica este pastorita de Ovidiu si Carmen Starlici.
Biserica a inceput cu un grup mic de 4 oameni fosti crestini penticostali. Cand noi am inceput biserica nu era nici o biserica protestanta in sat si acest lucru inca nu sa schimbat, noi suntem singura biserica protestanta din Halchiu.
In acelasi an, 1999 lucrarea cu copii a inceput pe strazile satului si nu dupa mult timp a aparut nevoia de a cauta o cladire unde sa ne mutam pentru a continua lucrarea.
Lucrarea sa mutat intr-o cladire care este folosita si astazi pentru inchinare.
Cladirea pe care biserica o inchiriaza este un fost bar si a avea o biserica in acel loc este o mare victorie pentru Evanghelie.
Biserica este formata in majoritate de familii de tigani.

Short historical of the Canaan Church:
The Canaan Church of Halchiu was founded in the year of 1999, by Nick Martonosi, an American missionary and by Ovidiu and Carmen Starlici a young Romanian married couple.
Since 2000, the church is pastorate by Ovidiu and Carmen Starlici.
The church was started with a small group of 4 people who were Pentecostal Christians. When was started this church it was not another protestant church in the village of Halchiu and this thing didn’t change now either, because we are still the only protestant church!
In the same year, 1999, we started a big children street ministry and after a short period of time, we had the need of a building, so we start looking for a place so we can continue this ministry.
We started this ministry in a small building that we are still using even today for church, for praising and worshiping God!
The building that we are renting for church it was a bar before and now, to have a church in that place is a big victory for the Gospel!
The people from the church are major Gipsy families.

Ovidiu si Carmen Starlici:
Ovidiu are 33 de ani si Carmen 31 de ani, ei s-au casatorit in Mai 2001.
Ei au impreuna 3 copii, Lorena in varsta de 9 ani, Andrei in varsta de 4 ani si Raul in varsta de 5 luni.
Ovidiu a absolvit Seminarul Teologic Unit in Brasov in Iulie 2001.
Momentan locuiesc in Brasov, aproximativ 16 km departare de Halchiu si ei calatoresc de 5-6 ori pe saptamana pentru a participa la programele bisericii.

Ovidiu and Carmen Starlici:
Ovidiu is 33 years old and his wife Carmen is 31 years old! They’ve got married in May 2001.They have three beautiful children, Lorena-Andreea who is 9 years old, Andrei who is 4 years old and Raul who is 5 months old.
Ovidiu graduated The United Theological Seminary in Brasov in July 2001.
In present, they live in Brasov, approximately 16 km from the village of Halchiu and they travel 5 or 6 times per week to attend the church programs.

Scurta viziune a Bisericii Canaan:
Viziunea noastra pentru aceasta lucrare cu ajutoril lui Dumnezeu este:

Ø Construirea unei cladiri pentru biserica noastra.

Ø Continuarea lucrarii cu tiganii si deschiderea a inca doua biserici in inca doua sate in care nu exista nici o biserica protestanta. Ultimele statistici arata ca Romania are 9.638 de sate fara o biserica evanghelica iar in aceste sate traiesc aproximativ 5.800.000 de oameni care au nevoie de Dumnezeu si Evanghelie.

Ø Continuarea lucrarii de pregatire a barbatilor din biserica pentru a putea sa mearga afara sa faca lucrarea lui Dumnezeu.

Ø Sustinerea din punct de vedere financiar a unei alte lucrari de misiune.

Ø Amenajarea unor camere speciale in noua cladire pentru tineri si pentru copii in care ei sa poata invata limba engleza si calculatoare.

Ø Implicarea tinerilor in lucrarea de evanghelizare.

Ø Cantina pentru saraci.

Ø Sa continuam distribuirea de alimente pentru copii din familiile sarace si sa gasim mai multi sponsori pentru acest program.

Short vision of Canaan Church:

Our vision with the help of God for this ministry is:

Ø We would like to build a place for our church.

Ø We want to continue the ministry with the Gypsies and we want to open two more churches in two different villages where they are not any protestant churches. The last statistics show that Romania has 9.638 villages without an evangelical church and that in these villages live approximately 5.800.000 people who need God and the Gospel in their lives.

Ø We want to continue the preparation with the men from our church, so they can go outside and work in God’s land.

Ø We would like to sustain financially another missionary work.

Ø We want to arrange special rooms in the new building for young people and for youth, where they can come and learn English and learn about computers.

Ø We want to involve as much as possible the youth in the evangelizing ministry!

Ø We would like to have a canteen for the poor people, so they can come and have a nice hot meal.

Ø We want to continue the feeding program that we have, and find more sponsors for the children that are part of this program.

POZITIE GEOGRAFICA

Judetul Brasov este situat in Sud-Estul Transilvaniei, pe cursul Raului Olt, intre Muntii Carpati. Ocupa, din punct de vedre geografic, majoritatea partilor joase ale Brasovului si Fagarasului si se extinde intre 45°23'13" - 46°12'12" latitudine nordica si 24°6'11" longitudine estica.

Judetul Brasov ocupa o zona de 536 309 ha, aceasta reprezinta 2.3% din suprafata Romaniei. Brasov, resedinta de judet, are o populatie de 320,000 locuitori si este situat in partea central-estica a Romaniei, la baza Muntelui Tampa (967 m).

Informatii Generale Halchiu
• Populatia Hăchiului este de aproximativ 3.000 oameni.
• Majoritatea au religie Ortodoxa
• Majoritatea oamenilor sunt fermieri, dar nu multi din ei detin teren.

GEOGRAPHICAL POSITION

The county of Brasov is situated in the south-eastern part of Transylvania, on the middle course of Olt river, within the Carpathian mountains. It occupies, from the physical-geographical point of view, most part of the low areas of Brasov and Fagaras and extends between 45°23'13" - 46°12'12" northern latitude and 24°6'11" eastern longitude.

The county of Brasov occupies an area of 536 309 ha, that represents 2.3% of the area of Romania. Brasov, the capital of the county, has a population of 320,000 inhabitants and is situated in the central-eastern part of Romania, at the foot of mount Tampa (967 m).

• The population of Hăchiu is approximately 3.000 people.
• Most of them are orthodox
• Most of the people are farmers, but not many ows their own land.

Viziunea Noastra

Ieremia 1:10 “Iatã, astãzi te pun peste neamuri si peste împãrãtii, ca sã smulgi si sã tai, sã dãrami, si sã nimicesti, sã zidesti si sã sãdesti.”

Acesta este versetul pe care se bazeaza FCF Romania. Totul a inceput de aici si se centreaza pe acest lucru. Viziunea noastra a inceput cu gandul ca the Evanghelia lui Isus trebuie predicata tuturor sub soare. Caile pentru a implini acest lucru variaza de la: predicare; invatare; distribuirea de ajutoare; lucrare cu copii; ajutand alte biserici sa-si implineasca viziunea si sa-si atinga scopul; lucrand in orfelinate, case de batrani, spitale.

Our Vision

Jeremiah 1:10 “See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.”

This is the Bible verse that is the base of FCF Romania. Everything has started from this and it is centered on it. Our vision starts with the thought that the Gospel of Jesus Christ shall be preached to everyone under the sun. The ways to accomplish this will vary from: preaching; teaching; aid distribution; children ministries; helping other churches to fulfill their vision and reach their goal; working in orphanages, senior citizens homes, hospitals.

Viziunea va fi dusa prin:

Ducerea Evangheliei Domnului Nostru poporului Roman prin evanghelizare si prin dezvoltarea unor relatii personale care Sa-L glorifice pe Dumnezeu.

Plantarea si stabilirea unor noi biserici.

Slujind ca si invatatori in biserici deja intemeiate pentru a le intari si a le da directie.

Slujind ca lucratori in biserici unde nu sunt lucratori ordinati, prin oficierea de casatorii,inmormantari, botezuri si orice alta lucrare de care are nevoie Trupul lui Hristos.

Deasemenea slujind ca si profesori in Scolile Biblice care au nevoie.

Ordinarea de lucratori care sa poata duce mai departe viziunea.

Inceperea si sustinerea de lucrari cu copii si tinerii in toata tara.

Sa aducem in biserica darurile profetice si apostolice.

Ajutoare Umanitare pentru cei care sunt in nevoie, impartasind in acest fel dragostea lui Dumnezeu.

The vision will be carry out through:

Taking the Gospel of our Lord to the people of Romania through evangelism and developing personal relationships that will glorify God.

Planting and establishing new churches.

Serving as teachers in the churches already established to strengthen and give direction to the churches in need.

Serve as ministers, in the churches were there is no appointed minister, through solemnizing marriages,funerals, baptisms, any other ministry that the body of Christ needs.

Also serve as teachers in different established Bible Schools that are in need of teaching.

Appoint and ordain ministers in order for them to carry out their vision.

Start and support different children and youth ministries all over the country.

Bring in the church the prophetical and apostolic ministries.

Humanitarian Aid distributions for those that are in need, sharing in this way God’s love.

Predicare si invatare in diferite biserici.

Slujind si predicand in Biserica FCF Canaan din Halchiu pe care FCF a fondato in 1999.

O lucrare cu copii in satul Halchiu, unde peste 50 de copii aud Evanghelia in fiecae saptamana.

O lucrare cu tinerii in satul Halchiu, unde peste 20 de tineri aud Evanghelia in fiecae saptamana.

Un program de distribuire alimente, unde avem colaboratori HELPS Inc. din SUA. Avem 25-30 de familii care includ 80 - 100 copii implicati in program. Right Now the vision it is carried out through:

Preaching and teaching in diferent churches.

Serving and preaching in the FCF Church of Halchiu that FCF established in 1999.

One children ministry in the village of Halchiu, were more than 50 children are listening the Gospel every single week.

One youth ministry in the village of Halchiu, were more than 20 youth are listening the Gospel every single week.

Our feeding program where we are in collaboration with HELPS, Inc. from the States. There are approximately 25 - 30 families which include at least 80-100 children that are involved with this humanitarian program. At the present time, approximately 15 families ( 50 children ) are being sponsored.

DISTRIBUIRE ALIMENTE

Cu ajutorul H.E.L.P.S. Inc. din Statele Unite, suntem capabili sa ajutam familiile in nevoie. Organizand sponsorizari pentru 25$/luna, suntem in stare sa ajutam familia impreuna cu copii: ajutandu-i sa aiba mancare mai buna pe masa si ajutand copii sa-si continue educatia.

In prezent, avem 25-30 de familii care includ 80-100 de copii care sunt implicati in acest program umanitar. Aproximativ 15 familii ( 50 de copii ) sunt sponsorizati in prezent.

FEEDING PROGRAM

With the assistance and support of H.E.L.P.S. Inc. from the States, we are able to help Romanian families that are in need. By organizing sponsorships for $25.00 per month, we are able to support a family and their children: helping to bring better food on the table and enabling the children to continue their education.

At the present time, there are approximately 25-30 families which include at least 80-100 children that are involved with this humanitarian program. Approximately 15 families (50 children) are presently being sponsored.

FCF Romania se concentraza pe doua lucrari importante: Lucrarea de Evanghelizare & Lucrarea de ajutorare Umanitara
Suntem parte a FCF International, o organizatie formata din biserici si lucratori, chemati de Dumnezeu, care este o familie in familia lui Dumnezeu, care are activitate in 42 de tari.
Avem si o biserica FCF in satul Halchiu, la doar 20 km in afara Brasovului care este pastorita de Ovidiu si Carmen Starlici. Ovidiu este PRESEDINTE iar Carmen VICEPRESEDINTE al FCF Romania din 31 Iulie 2007.
Nick Martonosi este FONDATOR al FCF Romania. In 1999 Fundatia Crestina Credinta Romania a luat oficial fiinta fiind recunoscuta de Guvernul Roman.
Este o organizatie cu functii religioase si umanitare.

WHAT WE DO:

FCF Romania is focused on two main ministries: Evangelism Ministry & Humanitarian Ministry.
We are part of FCF International, an organization of churches and ministries, called of God, that is a family within the family of God, working in forty-two countries.
We have a FCF Church in the town of Halchiu, just 17 miles outside Brasov where we are located, pastored by Ovidiu and Carmen Starlici. Ovidiu is PRESIDENT and Carmen is VICE-PRESIDENT of FCF Romania since 31 Julie 2007.
Nick Martonosi is the FOUNDER of FCF Romania. So in 1999, ‘Faith Christian Foundation’ was officially founded and recognized with the Romania government. It is religious and humanitarian in its function.
